Norfolk State University is approved to provide tuition assistance for military members pursuing their degrees. Each branch of the military offers tuition assistance for voluntary, off-duty education, with specific policies and application procedures.

UTILIZE YOUR HARD-EARNED MILITARY BENEFITS:
- Post-9/11 GI Bill®: Veterans and service members who have served on active duty for 90 days or more since September 10, 2001 are eligible.
- Montgomery GI Bill®: The Montgomery GI Bill® is a military benefit for eligible active-duty service members and veterans (MGIB-AD/Chapter 30) and eligible selected reservists (MGIB-SR) administered through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E): Veterans and active-duty service members who have applied to and have been determined eligible through the Veterans Benefits Administration may receive Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) service benefits.
